Inspiring Aberdeenshire
Inspiring Aberdeenshire is one of the council’s biggest annual events. The awards celebrate the achievements and successes of our people across Aberdeenshire who go the extra mile for their communities, often with little or no other official recognition.
The 2024 awards were held on 18th September and the winners were announced. Provost Judy Whyte said “Inspiring Aberdeenshire never fails to amaze me, because each year it reminds me of the need to reflect on how astonishing our communities are. This is the aim of Inspiring, to showcase the work of people in our communities.”

2024 winners
The winners in each category were announced at a ceremony at Meldrum House Hotel in September. They are spread across our eight Inspiring categories - who showcase everything from courage to community spirit and more.

Performers
In previous years we have had performances during the night from local dancers, singers, school choirs, even a skipping group. We are always keen to get local performers involved throughout the night. If you are involved with a group who would like to be on stage with us at the next event, please email us with a short description of who you are and what you do. Video links will also help the organisers better understand your performance.
