Aberdeenshire has a rich and diverse array of built and cultural heritage. The council has a duty to safeguard, sustain and enhance this wealth of heritage as it is irreplaceable.

We are committed to guide, promote, enhance and interpret the unique yet diverse resource of Aberdeenshire's built and cultural environment. As part of this commitment the team have developed a Historic Environment Strategy.
