Strategic Environmental Assessment Screening Report
Aberdeenshire Council has determined under Section 8(1) of Environmental Assessment (Scotland) Act 2005 that Aberdeenshire’s Waste Strategy 2019-2023 is unlikely to have any significant environmental effects within the context of the Environmental Assessment (Scotland) Act 2005. The screening report and determination letter below provide more information.
Consultation results
A public consultation on a draft Waste Strategy 2019-2023 for Aberdeenshire was carried out in September 2018 to gather views on the proposals to change recycling and waste services. The reports below summarise the results of the consultation separately for residents and trade waste customers.
The Big Recycling Challenge Survey results
The Big Recycling Challenge Survey was run in February 2018 to gather information about Aberdeenshire residents' perceptions on their current use of the waste and recycling services, to gauge their views on some of the potential changes being considered, and to obtain an understanding on where residents obtain information on recycling services. This report summarises the results from the survey.
