Portsoy Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme (CARS)
Portsoy CARS commenced in 2011 and completed in early Summer 2016. £500,000 was granted to the Council, provided by Scottish Ministers via Historic Scotland. It assisted the conservation and restoration of property in Portsoy's Conservation Area to help preserve the character and quality of its built heritage.
Five major conservation projects were delivered; 16 & 18/20 North High Street, PORT Boatshed, Back Green (The Sail Loft), the former Grain Store at Shorehead and Portsoy Scout Hut. A grant scheme to support small projects was also available.
