Strathbeg sheltered housing

Strathbeg sheltered housing scheme is situated in the village of Crimond.

The scheme has 10 one bedroom and 1 two bedroom self-contained flats. All the flats are connected to the community alarm system.

Facilities at the scheme include:

  • a communal lounge
  • a communal laundry

There is one guest bedroom available for use by relatives or friends who don't live locally.

Regular social activities can be facilitated by the Sheltered Housing Officer which includes:

  • cards
  • bingo
  • entertainments

Both cats and dogs are generally accepted at the scheme.

Local amenities include Crimond medical centre and a Post Office. There are regular bus services to Fraserburgh, Peterhead and Aberdeen. Peterhead has a large range of shops and is only three miles away. The RSPB owned Loch of Strathbeg protected nature reserve is nearby.
