Matchmaker Scheme
The Matchmaker Scheme is a free service which helps to match people wishing to sell an empty home with people who want to buy an empty home.
Selling an empty home
You can advertise your empty home for sale on our website, listing the following information about your property:
- type
- size
- location
- approximate price
- condition
If a potential buyer registers an interest in your property the Empty Homes Service will share your details with them, and also their details with you to follow-up.
You are welcome to join the scheme regardless of the condition of your property.
Benefits for sellers include:
- It is free to put the details of your property on our website
- Your home will be matched with people who specifically want to purchase an empty property
- It may help you find a buyer if you've been having difficulty selling, or if the property is in poor condition
- You can explore your options if you are considering selling, but haven't decided yet
