Gambling licences and gaming permits

You need a licence to run gambling activities within your premises. A licence is also required to hold a lottery, including raffles.

Please note that if you want to apply for operating and personal licences, these are the responsibility of the Gambling Commission

The Aberdeenshire Licensing Board deals with applications for bingo halls, casinos, betting premises, adult gaming centres and family entertainment centres.

Dealing with your application

When reviewing your application, the Aberdeenshire Licensing Board must have regard to the statutory licensing objectives as set out in Section 1 of the Gambling Act 2005.
