Cuminestown substation pre-determination hearing date set
A pre-determination hearing will be held in Peterhead on Monday, August 18, to discuss a planning application for a proposed 400kV AC substation and associated infrastructure at Mains of Greens, Cuminestown.
The hearing is a formal process allowing those who have already submitted valid representations, as well as the applicant and consultees, to express their views to councillors before any decision is taken.
Although no decision will be made on the application at the hearing, it will be minuted and all points raised will be placed before both Aberdeenshire Council’s Formartine and Buchan Area Committees for consideration.
A report will then go to a meeting of the council’s Infrastructure Services Committee detailing local views on the application, and councillors will be asked to decide on it.
Only those who have made valid representations on the planning application and have already indicated a request to speak will be able to address councillors at the session.
The pre-determination hearing will take place at 6pm on Monday, August 18, at Buchan House, St Peter Street, Peterhead, AB42 1QF and will also be streamed.
A limited amount of seating for the public will be available at the venue, and a link to the livestream will be made available on the Aberdeenshire Council website in advance of the meeting. Full details of the planning application can be found at https://bit.ly/csub08
