Aberdeenshire Community Planning Partnership Board appoints Andrew Wright as vice-chair
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service Area Commander Andrew Wright has been appointed as vice-chair of the Aberdeenshire Community Planning Partnership Board.
Board chair Cllr Anne Stirling has welcomed the appointment, which was made at the group’s latest meeting in September.
“The board is very pleased to welcome Andrew as our new vice-chair. Andrew already has strong connections with the partnership and his vast experience with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and detailed knowledge of Aberdeenshire communities will be a real asset to our work,” she said.
“I would also like to share my sincere appreciation to former vice-chair Dr Adam Coldwells for his significant and long-standing contribution to the Aberdeenshire Community Planning Partnership and collaborative working, and wish him all the best in his retirement.”
Andrew began his career with what was previously the Grampian Fire & Rescue Service in 2002 and has lived locally for more than 30 years and is now holds the position of Area Commander for Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire, and Moray for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
Andrew said: “It’s a privilege to be appointed as vice-chair of the Aberdeenshire Community Planning Partnership Board, this is an important forum that brings together partners committed to improving outcomes for our communities.
“I’m looking forward to building on the excellent work already underway and continuing the strong collaborative efforts that define this partnership. I’m particularly excited about the opportunities ahead – especially how we can work together to make real progress on Local Outcomes Improvement Plan and deliver meaningful change across Aberdeenshire.
“I’m grateful for the warm welcome from Cllr Stirling and the Board, and I’d also like to acknowledge Dr Adam Coldwells for his significant contribution over the years.”
