Just a week to go before Aberdeenshire Restaurant Week serves up a host of special offers

With just one week to go, food lovers are gearing up for the much-anticipated return of Aberdeenshire Restaurant Week.

The celebration of local dining promises a mouth-watering selection of dishes, exclusive offers, and culinary experiences from some of the area’s best-loved restaurants.

Running from November 3-16, this extended two week-long event has so far attracted 76 restaurants, cafes and hotels across the region.

There are many returning venues from last year as well as a selection of new cafes and restaurants to choose from.

And it’s not too late to register a business for Aberdeenshire Restaurant Week – sign up by emailing restaurantweek@aberdeenshire.gov.uk

Cllr Alan Turner, chair of the council’s Infrastructure Services Committee, said: “Restaurant Week is a brilliant way to showcase the fantastic variety of places to eat across the region, with something for everyone, whatever your taste or budget. Our hospitality businesses have shown incredible resilience amid rising costs and ongoing challenges, and we hope this initiative brings them the well-deserved support and new customers they need to thrive. There’s a fantastic range of venues set to take part in Restaurant Week, and it’s a great excuse to get out and about this November and discover more of what Aberdeenshire has to offer.”

One of those taking part is the Newmachar Hotel, offering two courses for £20 or three for £25.

Owner Linda Wright said: “Taking part again this year was an easy decision after last year’s huge success. We welcomed so many visitors through our doors and had such fantastic feedback - it really was a no-brainer to get involved again.

“We love the number of first-time visitors it brings to The Scullery. There’s always that lovely element of surprise and delight when people discover us for the first time - they fall in love with the décor, service and of course, the food and it’s wonderful to see that spark turn into return visits. Initiatives like Aberdeenshire Restaurant Week are hugely important for local businesses and communities. They encourage people to discover and support independent venues, highlight the quality of local food and hospitality, and create a real sense of pride in the region.”
