Angus Matheson elected to serve Peterhead South and Cruden ward
Angus Matheson has been elected to serve the Peterhead South and Cruden ward on Aberdeenshire Council.
Mr Matheson of the Scottish National Party was elected having received 741 first preference votes.
Electorate – 9,206; Votes: 2,043 Turnout – 22.2%
Voting took place at six polling stations within the contest ward between 7am and 10pm yesterday (Thurs, June 2), with the election count being conducted electronically in Woodhill House today (Fri).
The by-election was held following the death of Councillor George Hall in April.
