Launch of new Aberdeenshire Child Protection website
Aberdeenshire Child Protection Committee has a new website designed to make it easier for people to access vital information and support.
The new website has been developed to help people understand child protection, find guidance, and take action if they are concerned about a child’s wellbeing.
Aberdeenshire Child Protection Committee (ACPC) is a multi-agency partnership responsible for ensuring that organisations across the region work together effectively to protect children and young people from harm.
This includes local authorities, health services, Police Scotland, education, and third-sector organisations.
Child Protection Committee Lead Officer Jacqueline Duffin said: “This has been a significant piece of work, but this website is key to supporting our most vulnerable children in really challenging times. We hope it makes a real difference to the people who need it.”
The newly launched website includes:
-
Dedicated sections for children and young people, parents and carers, and professionals
-
Improved navigation to help users quickly find the information they need
-
Clear guidance on child protection, including how to recognise concerns and take action
-
Information on key initiatives such as the Bairns’ Hoose, Scotland’s child-friendly approach to supporting children affected by trauma
Aberdeenshire Child Protection Committee will continue to update the website with news, resources, and guidance.
Users are encouraged to check back regularly or follow ACPC on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn to stay informed.
