Stronger Communities Week events taking place across Aberdeenshire

Aberdeenshire Council is marking Stronger Communities Week with a series of activities across the area.

The events, running until Friday (Mar 13), include networking sessions aimed at young people, community groups, and others interested in building or expanding local networks. 

The sessions focus on information and advice, inclusivity, and community networks across a range of themes. 

Activities have been taking place in Aboyne, Fraserburgh, Huntly, Inverurie, Oldmeldrum, Peterhead, Portlethen, Westhill, and the remaining activities area as follows: 

Thu, Mar 12: Central Aberdeenshire Community Connect event, Lochter Outdoor Centre, Oldmeldrum, 12-4pm.

A networking session for anyone that supports communities in Aberdeenshire, featuring service and community speakers showcasing their
partnership community activities and to explore collaborative responses and actions to key challenges facing communities.

Mar 9-13: Talking about Diversity, Intersectionality and Community Belonging (various locations)

These sessions are designed to create a respectful and safe space where participants can explore the concept of intersectionality and its impact on individual and community experiences. 

The sessions will take place as follows: 

•    Wed, Mar 11: 74 York Street, Peterhead, 1pm-2.30pm
•    Thu, Mar 12: Inverurie Community Campus, 7pm-9pm
•    Thu, Mar 12: Portlethen Community Campus, 12pm-1pm
•    Fri, Mar 13: Huntly Linden Centre, 10am-11am
