Hands Up survey
The Hands Up Survey is conducted annually with every school in Scotland. It simply asks pupils 'how do you usually travel to school'. The survey, which started in Aberdeenshire in 2006, was adopted nationally by Sustrans in 2008 and is now classed as a national statistic. The survey provides useful information to the local authority for use as baseline data for a wide variety of projects, including community links bids and new school bids.
