Early Learning & Childcare Consultation

As a result of the Children and Young People Act (Scotland) 2014 all Local Authorities have a statutory duty to consult and plan with all stakeholders on the provision of early learning and childcare every two years.

Over the next few weeks we will be consulting with all stakeholders regarding the provision of early learning and childcare in Aberdeenshire. This consultation will provide information to help us to create a more flexible and integrated service.

We are consulting on the implementation of the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014, including flexibility of early learning and childcare provision and also on out of school hours care. We aim to provide a service which better meets the needs of the children and families in Aberdeenshire.

We are seeking the views of parents/carers, professionals and other interested stakeholders on how best the services can meet their needs through a series of consultation methods which will include drop in sessions across Aberdeenshire and a survey monkey.

Consultation drop in sessions

Consultation sessions will take place in each network and we have attached a list of venues indicating place, date and time.
