South Aberdeenshire Day Services

South Aberdeenshire Day Services offers a range of day support to adults with a learning disability, living in South Aberdeenshire. We offer you day support at home, in the community, in a building base or a combination of all to help you to be as independent as possible.

We do this by providing:

  • knowledge
  • training
  • improving skills
  • building confidence

For many, this means moving on to:

  • local community based opportunities
  • employment
  • further education
  • volunteering
  • accessing social groups near you

For those with profound and multiple disabilities as well as more complex social needs, our building base day service offers help with everyday skills, mobility support, sensory experiences, rebound therapy, leisure activities and personalised support.

Our building bases

We have three building bases:

  • Forest View in Stonehaven
  • The Neuk in Aboyne
  • Kraftworks in Aboyne

We don't offer transport to or from our services, but we do offer basic travel training if appropriate.

Opening times

Our buildings bases are open Monday to Friday, from 9am to 4pm.

South Aberdeenshire Day Services closes to everyone for holidays for a week in April, a week in October and two weeks over the festive period in December. We also close for four days during the year for staff training.

Regulation

Our day services are assessed and graded by the Care Inspectorate for the quality of service we provide. Our staff are Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) registered.
