Mental Health and Wellbeing services
We provide a range of care and support services for adults experiencing mental health problems. Mental health involves our emotional, psychological and social wellbeing, and affects how we think feel and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others and make choices. We all experience times where we are anxious or sad. Usually these feelings pass, but sometimes they can develop into more serious problems. With the right support, including self-help, most people with mental health problems recover.
You may be able to manage your mental health and wellbeing without needing medical advice. Our mental health and wellbeing support page has more information on the support and services available to help you.
If you want to speak to someone about your concerns, please contact your GP. They may refer you to our Community Mental Health Team.
If you still need more information on Mental Health and Wellbeing services, please call 03456 08 12 06.
Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy
Our adult Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2019 to 2024 (pdf 716KB) sets out our priorities for mental health and wellbeing for the next 5 years. The strategy is for all adults living in Aberdeenshire who currently use mental health services and those who may need support in the future.
