Doocot View Very Sheltered Housing

Doocot View EntranceDoocot View is a purpose built very sheltered housing complex in a quiet residential area of Banff.

There are 30 self-contained flats on one level and a day care centre.

Each flat has a:

  • lounge
  • kitchen
  • one or two bedrooms
  • shower room

There is also a respite flat for respite care or short breaks. 

Doocot View Lounge AreaThe facilities at Doocot View include:

  • a communal lounge
  • daily choice of menus for lunch and supper
  • a laundry for tenants to use
  • an alarm system so tenants can get help in an emergency
  • a guest bedroom for friends and family to use when visiting 

Doocot View Dining RoomCare and support is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week based on your individual needs and choice.

A day care service is available on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday for people from the local community. It provides a range of activities which tenants can take part in if they wish. Activities may include, but aren't limited to:

  • exercise sessions
  • reminiscence
  • quizzes
  • dominoes
  • food tasting sessions
  • crafts
  • bingo 

Doocot View is a joint venture between Aberdeenshire Council and Hanover (Scotland) Housing Association. Aberdeenshire Council manage the day centre and provide the care and support services. Hanover is responsible for flat allocations, rent setting and collection and repairs and maintenance.
