Buchan Day Opportunities Skills Development and Training
People who use Buchan Day Opportunities can take part in the day services' projects. These projects can help you develop and learn new skills.
Some people use the projects as training opportunities with a plan to develop skills to move onto other opportunities. Others access the projects as part of their daily activities.

Shop and Drop is a local service for anyone in the Peterhead area who may need a little help with their shopping.
We go to a person's home to pick up their shopping list and money. Go to their chosen shop, do the shopping, take it back and put it away, if they want. We can get anything from a loaf of bread to a pint of milk, to their weekly shopping from any of the supermarkets or local shops in Peterhead. Or we can go to the Post Office to post a letter or a parcel.
The tasks you can be involved with include:
- answering the phone to customers
- meeting customers and getting their shopping
- money skills
- developing positive relationships with customers and members of the public
