Support for Ukrainians

People across Aberdeenshire and beyond are looking for ways in which they can help support Ukrainian communities and individuals.

How Ukrainians can come to the UK

Routes for Ukrainians to come to the UK include:

The Aberdeenshire Welcome Hub Hotels accommodate people arriving via the super sponsor route. Resettlement Officers supporting families in hotels identify suitable approved sponsors and then assist with the transition process and ongoing support. A team of staff including Housing Officers, help Ukrainians to find longer term housing options. Welcome packs help hosts and guests to navigate arrival and settling in Aberdeenshire. They include information about immigration, money advice, community, employment and council services.

Donating

Below are some channels through which you can donate:

There is advice on how to donate with care on the Ready Scotland website. This provides guidance on researching charities which you may be considering and finding out how your donations would be used.

Scotland Supporting Ukraine is a volunteer association providing support for families fleeing the country during the war against Ukraine. The volunteers work with local groups and can provide advice about collection points and local hubs.
