Settling in visits


You will be visited by one of our housing officers, within six weeks after your tenancy starts, to see how you are settling in.

 

This visit is to find out if you have any problems or issues that may need to be dealt with since you moved in.

It is also an opportunity to make sure you know who to contact for information or help about:

       
  • rent
  •    
  • rent arrears
  •    
  • housing benefit
  •    
  • repairs
  •    
  • waste disposal
  •    
  • street lighting
  •    

The housing officer will  offer you advice and help on recycling and garden maintenance. They will also explain in more detail the information given to you when you signed your tenancy agreement.

You will also be told about local Tenants’ Groups working in your area and how you can become involved in tenant participation.
