Parking charges

Paid parking periods and charges as of 1st April 2024:

  • Up to 1 hour - £0.65
  • Up to 2 hours - £1.25
  • Up to 5 hours - £3.75
  • Up to 9 hours - £6.25

The above charges do not apply to country parks.   

Payment options

We offer a range of payments options for parking charges.

You can pay at machines using:

  • Coins (1p and 2p coins are not accepted and change is not given)
  • Card payment
  • Contactless technology

You can also pay using your mobile phone.

You do not have to display your ticket. The machines are digitally linked  to our operatives devices and will show if you have purchased a valid parking session.

Pay by card

To obtain a ticket, or pay an excess charge at the instant rate using card, please follow these instructions:

  1. enter vehicle registration then press green button
  2. check registration
  3. select amount to pay using the '+' (plus) or '-' (minus) symbols and present or insert card for payment
  4. press green button to confirm transaction

Pay by coins

To obtain a ticket, or pay an excess charge at the instant rate using coins, please follow these instructions:

  1. enter vehicle registration then press green button
  2. check registration
  3. insert correct value of coins (1p and 2 coins are not accepted and change is not given)
  4. press green button to confirm transaction

Exemption for disabled drivers

A disabled person's vehicle, displaying a valid Blue Badge, will be exempt from payment of any parking charge.
