How to use payment meters or cashless parking

We no longer support the card payment function. This is due to a change in legislation relating to security and the high cost associated with the upgrade of the machines.

Whether you are parking for a free period or if you intend to park your vehicle beyond the free period, you will always need to input your vehicle registration into the payment meter before obtaining a ticket.

Free parking ticket

To obtain a free parking ticket:

  1. enter your registration details on the keypad on the machine
  2. press green button for ticket
  3. display ticket on vehicle

Paying with coins

To obtain a parking ticket using coins:

  1. enter your registration details on the keypad on the machine
  2. insert the correct money for the tariff you require
  3. press green button for ticket
  4. display ticket on vehicle

Cashless parking

Cashless parking lets you pay for your parking without using a machine. This service is offered by RingGo.

Visit our cashless parking page to find out how to register with RingGo and pay for parking using a mobile device or PC.

Exemption for disabled drivers

A disabled person's vehicle, displaying a valid Blue Badge, will be exempt from payment of any parking charge.
