Our Instrumental Music Service offers pupils instrument tuition during the school day on:
- Violin or viola
- Cello or double bass
- Piano or keyboard
- Pipe band drum
Senior pupils (S4 to S6) can receive tuition on an instrument for a Scottish Qualification Authority (SQA) course. SQA courses include Higher Music, Advanced Higher Music, National 4 Music, National 5 Music and free standing music units such as 'Performing Music on One Instrument or Voice' (F3F4).
Tuition is subject to availability as there are limited resources. Beginners at secondary school are not normally offered orchestra string instruments.
Before registering your child view our terms and conditions.
You can register for tuition using our online form. Alternatively you can contact us for a paper application form.
If we don't have a place to offer you, we will add you to our waiting list. We will contact you if an opportunity to learn an instrument becomes available. Pupils will be deleted from the waiting list after 2 years and re-registration will be required.
