Apply for primary one
Children start primary one in August and registrations take place in January each year. The year they start depends on when they turn 5.
If your child’s fifth birthday is between 1st March 2020 and 28th February 2021, you can register them in January 2020 to start attending school in August 2020.
Please note that Kellands School, Strathburn School and Uryside School zones are changing from August 2020. For more details please contact the school directly.
How to apply
To enrol your child for primary one, there are two things you need to do during the registration period:
- Visit the primary school of your choice
- Fill in the online application form
The registration period for school places in term 2020 to 2021 is open from Monday, 13th January to Friday, 17th January 2020. If you miss it, please try to visit your chosen primary before the end of February.
When visiting the primary school, you will need to bring:
- your child’s original birth certificate
- proof of address such as a recent utility bill or a bank statement
The school will check these documents. They can also give you a copy of the school’s annual handbook which has information about school policies.
Once the documents are checked by the school, you will then need to complete our application form.
If you are applying using Safari browser on a Mac, please use Google Chrome browser instead.
