Ellon Day Opportunities

Ellon Day Opportunities provides a service to adults with a learning disability in Ellon and surrounding area.

Location

Our main building base location is Ellon Resource Centre, also known as the Hub.

The Hub

The Hub is based in Ellon town centre. You can take part in a variety of groups and activities at the Hub, such as:

  • arts and crafts
  • cooking
  • baking
  • games
  • exercises
  • sensory sessions

We can support you with your agreed health and wellbeing programmes, for example physio exercises.

From the Hub, you can also access group activities in community locations, such as:

  • swimming
  • bike sessions
  • para football
  • drama
  • sports
  • dance
  • Conversation CafĂ©

The Hub is based at Ellon Resource Centre, Station Road, Ellon, AB41 9AE.

Ellon Editors

Ellon Editors provides skills development opportunities for adults with learning disabilities interested in computers. Project members produce a monthly news magazine, Centre Scene Magazine.

The project:

  • supports members with publishing and photography
  • provides training and experience on computers, Smart Board, photography, making videos and using other IT equipment
  • raises awareness of local issues to people using the service

Tasks include:

  • networking with other community groups
  • team working and planning
  • working to deadlines

Ellon Editors is based in Ellon Resource Centre.

Opening times

Ellon Day Opportunities is open 8:45am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.
