Investments and Projects Team
Our Investments and Projects Team works to secure and manage external funding which helps to deliver a wide range of projects throughout Aberdeenshire. External funding comes from a range of sources, but primarily from the Scottish and UK governments.
There are a large number of funding programmes open to businesses, communities and public bodies throughout Aberdeenshire. We apply for external funding for projects and also supports the management and administration of grants. The team also supports the management and administration of the following funding programmes:
The council also manages the Aberdeen City and Shire Business Gateway Strategic Intervention which has been allocated £1,931,750 from the European Regional Development Fund. This funding allows for the provision of enhanced business support services from the Business Gateway service.
The council also administers the Oil and Gas Technology Centre Support for Research and Innovation scheme.
The service participates in a number of international groups to ensure the best outcome for the area. The key groups are the Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions (CPMR), and the North Sea Commission (NSC).
