Occupational Therapy Service
Our Occupational Therapy Service helps people of all ages with practical support to manage their health and well-being. Our occupational therapists work with you to improve your quality of life by helping you be as independent as possible in your home. This service is part of Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Partnership.
In this section you can find more information on the support available to help you live independently at home:
- Assessment - a member of the Occupational Therapy Service will visit you in your home and consider all of your needs to help you find ways to manage daily tasks and activities
- Equipment - the right equipment can help with activities of daily living so that you can continue to be safe and independent
- Adaptations - adapting your home means making changes to help you manage everyday tasks and stay independently at home for longer
- Rehabilitation and enablement - intensive, time limited support to help you regain the ability to do everyday tasks for yourself after a period of illness, injury or increased frailty
