Disruptions to bin collections

Occasionally, bin collections are missed for a variety of reasons including weather conditions, road closures, or vehicles being in for maintenance and repair. If you presented your bin by 7am and it was not collected by 4.45pm, please check the list below before reporting a missed bin. Our apologies for any disruption to service that you experience.

Where we don't otherwise indicate on this page, if we didn't collect your bin within five days, we will collect excess on the next scheduled collection of that same bin.

If you find yourself accumulating additional household recycling and waste, please remember you can take it to a recycling centre. 

26th April 2024

We weren't able to collect glass in the following areas:  

  • Collieston
  • Balmedie
  • Newburgh
  • Newmachar

We will aim to return as soon as possible to service these areas. 

22nd April 2024

Household collections

We weren't able to collect bins from these streets in Huntly:

  • Huntly: Green Road, Gordon Way, Flory Gardens (we will come back as soon as possible)
  • Belhelvie rural (we will come back on Tuesday, 23rd April)
  • The Stewarts (we will return this week, please leave bins out)

Trade collections

We weren't able to collect bins in Blackburn and Kintore. We will come back by the end of the week.

  • Durno area: Parkside Gardens and road rural from Durno to Miekle Wartle (we will come back as soon as we can)

  • Insch: Whitehall Road, Whitehall View, Whitehall Gardens, Whitehall Place, Whitehall Crescent, Greenhall Way, Greenhall  Avenue, Denwell Drive, Simpson Street, Brae Johnstone Place
  • Old Rayne: Lawrence Road, Leslie Park, Barreldykes Way
