Recycling centres
We operate a number of recycling centres where we accept a wide range of items. We also provide many glass and textile recycling points across Aberdeenshire.
What is accepted
Before you visit a recycling centre, find out what items can and cannot be recycled. You can also view a list of materials accepted at recycling centres (PDF 81KB).
Bookings
Bookings are required only:
- At Inverurie and Westhill recycling centres for all vehicles
- At all other recycling centres for vehicles with trailers and commercial type vehicles with limits on visits
Businesses can sign up to a trade waste collection service or use the business waste drop-off service.
Pedestrian access
Pedestrian access without booking is available daily, 12pm to 12.30pm at Alford, Fraserburgh, Huntly, Insch, Laurencekirk, Portsoy, Turriff and Westhill.
Vehicles are banned during those times to allow pedestrians, bicycles, and bikes with trailers safe access.
Please don't park your vehicle outside the centre and walk in as this causes spillages and issues for passing traffic.
