Pedestrian access

If you do not have access to a vehicle, you can make arrangements to use Turriff recycling centre as a pedestrian by speaking to a member of staff on site.

Who needs to book

Vehicles with trailers or commercial type vehicles must book in advance and are limited in the number of visits they can make. Other vehicle types don't need to make a booking to visit Turriff recycling centre.

Items not accepted

The following items are not accepted at Turriff recycling centre:

• Asbestos
• Commercial or trade waste
• Liquids - excluding engine (mineral) and cooking oil which are accepted
• Paint in liquid form - must be solidified
• Tyres

The centre doesn't accept any items for reuse, including mattresses.

• Indoor blue food waste caddies
• Green outdoor food caddies
